My 12 wk old has started waking through the night again!
« on: May 29, 2011, 04:48:49 am »
My little boy is 12 weeks old he was sleeping until 5am every night However the last three nights he has woken gradually earlier! 4am then 3am and today 2am! Any ideas?

Also I cluster feed at 6pm,7.30 and 8.30 so he normally goes down for the night at 9.30pm and ideas on how to get him to bed earlier? :)

Likely a growth spurt at 12 weeks... does he take a good feed when he wakes?  Random wake times are generally hunger related.

What does your EASY look like?  Could you post it for the last day or two?

I had a wiggly worm too and the only thing that kept her swaddled was a Halo SleepSack with a built in swaddle.  That lasted until 4 1/2 months... then we stopped swaddling her as she started to roll.

I have no info with getting him to bed earlier as I just followed baby's lead for that one!  The only thing I did was start a bedtime routine at about 8 weeks once she had days/nights sort of figured out.  I just started putting her down for 8pm and over the course of a few weeks she moved it earlier herself - she would get fussy earlier in the evening and I would get her off to bed.

DD would never take to the dream feed and I didn't cluster feed her either.. I was extremely lucky to have a LO who only woke once a night from 8 weeks and would eat and go right back to sleep on her own :)
