I can buy oat milk at the regular grocery store near the soy and rice milks. Maybe mix oat with coconut!

Yep it is in the same section.  You can get rice, oat and soy in the same section.  I get mine at the Superstore.  It is part of the Dream line (Oat Dream, Rice Dream and Soy Dream).  I don't know of another kind but that one is really good.  There is even a chocolate rice dream that I like better than chocolate milk :)

we were told not to give oat milk as a main drink as it isn't high in fat - but since Murray has had no weight gain issues and eats (really!!) well, dietician was fine with it .... if you are continuing to breastfeed it isn't an issue

Interesting.. what do milk do they advise then if they are saying no rice or oat?

I didn't realize this was going to be such a hard problem to solve!

I have never heard of oat milk?  Is it available for you at regular supermarkets or do you have to go to some sort of speciality store?

Not sure about Canada but in the UK it is with the UHT milks.

I know, there doesn't seem like there is a great option.  I'll try the oat for the few times I need it.  Sadly, she seems to have got a bad bug now.  Green poop (like I have never seen before, it looks like someone put dye into it), diarrhea, throwing up, runny nose, fever. So i'm not going to try anything new right now. We'll stick to breastmilk!
