7 month old naps - too long?
« on: June 09, 2011, 14:13:19 pm »
I know this is a TERRIBLE problem to have - but I am seriously wonderning if they are too long.  My LO has been having EWs for a while - some due to teething, some due to the fact that she needed a tweak in her schedule (we just got rid of the catnap).  Sooo.....now she has 2 2-hour naps with 3 hours of awake time (maybe 3.5 before bed).

Thanks!

I think 2 x 2 hour naps at this age is fine.  If you do think that it's causing ew then you could cut one back a bit but if you've got a good A time going on then I'd personally stick with it!  The ew could be caused by teething like you said so ride it out for a while.  Or she could just be getting used to her new routine without the catnap and just needs a little while to adjust.

Thanks Karen - I'll wait a bit longer.  She's SO happy during the day so I guess that's a good thing!
