I am no expert but am happy to help if I can from my experiences. Did you wake her from both of those naps or did she wake up herself? If so how did she wake? Happy or crying? Also how have your nights been and is K happy in the day? I would say if you have a happy LO and she is sleeping well at night all is good. :)

She woke up from both of her naps today on her own, she woke up chattering and has been as bright as a button! x x x

If K is happy then that is a good sign hun. I would think that 1h 45 mins total daytime sleep is slightly shorter than normal but if she has never been a good napper she could be low sleep needs, what do you think? How are your nights?

Katelyn has a bit of a runny nose today so i dont know if this explains her EASY today and the unsettled periods early in the morning -

Unsettled at 4am, 5.30am, 6.10am, 6.30am

10.35 – Nap 1
11.20 – Awake
2.55 Nap 2
4.00 – Awake
7.40 - Bedtime

Is there anything that I'm doing wrong? x x x

Hi sorry for your unsettled nights, is K always like this or does she usually STTN? Was she happy or crying when she woke in the night and did she self settle back to sleep? It could be that she is getting a cold which could unsettle her.

As for your EASY if K was happy again I would say you are doing great hun.

She usually sleeps thru the night. She did well at resettling herself tho bless her.

I just get confused as some days she will nap for longer. Some days she will settle for her nap at 2.30 and others it takes her till 3ish to nod off. I guess everyday is different for a baby like it is for us adults.

I just worry incase she isnt getting enough daytime sleep x x x

I used to be exactly the same from C being 4 - 6 months and she only took naps of 40 mins max! In the end I just had to except that she was low sleep needs and she was happy and healthy, so must be ok. If you are getting great nights, good naps (which you are) and K is happy and not tired and grizzly then I think she is fine and you are doing a great job. When LOs go through the 2:1 transition their days do change from one to the next, so try not to worry hun. You and K are doing great. :) If you start to get NW or EW then you will need to look at tweaking things, but for now I would go on as you are.

Thankyou hun  :)

Do you think the unsettled periods might be due to her snotty nose at the moment? x x x

It could well be that she is coming down with a cold or also, in our house, a clear snotty nose comes along with teething! Both of these could cause unsettled nights. Just see how things go the next few nights hun and we can take it from there if it is happening regularly. Fingers crossed for a good night for you.

Thankyou for your support ladies.

Had a hard night lastnight. Katelyn was awake every hour, she managed to resettle herself tho. Gave her a bottle at 4.30am and some Calpol. She's so snotty at the mo so that explains the restlessness.

Poor little mite! x x x

Poor K! Hope she's better soon. Looks like you are doing great, sweetie. I am sure you will get back to grips with stuff when she is better. x

Ahh poor little love, that will explain the unsettled nights then. Like PP said I am sure you will get back on track once K is better. Get well soon K!  :-*
