Thanks Rebecca!
I think I need to work on her needing me a bit less in a bunch of respects. She isn't playing independently as much either.
We are hitting a ton of milestones along with sickness. I was worried her molars might be starting to come in but I think she still has to get the rest of her teeth first? She has 7 almost 8!
It's nice to know that I'm not doing this all wrong...it just feels that way  :-\ I do appreciate the encouragement!

Thanks for the link! I am totally going to try those. she hasn't really attached to a lovey...probably because she uses me but I'm hoping this will work

I don't know what else I can do...it takes me at least 2 hours to get this little girl to bed. is there anything else I can do to get her to sleep? I have tried UT/OT  exactly in her sleep window and nothing is working.
Tonight I put her down at just the right time and two hours later she's still up crying...I have no idea what else to do.

Also, if I am going in every time she cries and rubbing her back I feel like I am becoming a prop? It usually doesn't work well at this point but I am worried about how much she will "demand" me to come in if I run in every time she cries?

she went down after 2 hours and slept really well till 345 and has been melting down since....so I though we were going to get caught up on sleep but no luck. She went back down at 5:30 till 6:10 and woke up screaming.

Her first nap went pretty well She was up from 6:10-7:30 and it was time to nurse. She mostly fell asleep during nursing which wasn't good but I laid her down and did GW till I could get out...about 30 minutes. She cried out as I left but then fell asleep so I didn't go back in. She slept for almost 2.5 hours. I let her sleep a bit longer to make up for the lost morning sleep.

Second nap put down was a success! We extended A time by a little, had a snack so we wouldn't miss lunch and then did our wind down with a little snuggle and some GW and she went right to bed. Hopefully for a good nap. She slept from 120-3 when I woke her up so that she wouldn't over sleep for the day.

Same thing for night though. Put her down at 615 because her naps were early and we did PD for almost 2 hours. after almost 2 hours she was still standing up! DH went in to give me a break and was able to get her to sleep in 20 mins.

I am hoping that with all the sleep today it was just catch up and she won't be up all night. How many mornings do we have to do this wake up PD before it becomes habit? and if we are doing this anyways is it a good time for me to drop the second NF that we don't need?

ETA: ok I am working on a strategy. I need to come up with a new wind down, I am going to just consistantly do pd with her and let her mantra till she escalates at night. I do rub her back after she lays down to settle her but if she is just rolling around I am going to let her self soothe while I do GW.
Is there anything I should change/add?

ETAA: Logan STTN last night with the exception of the one DF but had an EW at 5:25 this morning. I am going to see if I can extend her A time this morning and get back on track.

I'm wondering if your DH could give BT a shot instead of you for a few nights...to see if she'll go down faster for him.  THat would at least help you see if she's fighting bedtime because you're there (perhaps SA?).

I think your wind down plan is good.  If she is not crying an I need you cry, then you do not need to be in the room with her.

Good luck with the A time extension today.

He has been trying for me when I get too tired/frustrated. it has turned into a battle every nap with her melting down everytime I try to leave.
I think she has be come too dependant on me for soothing, replacing paci, patting her back.
I have put an new lovey in her crib and am going to try weaning the paci but rebecca and I were chatting and she suggested maybe restarting easy with her since I am so far off.
I extended her 10 minutes today but we went through the same 1.5hour nap battle and she slept for 40 minutes. I just can't seem to catch up or sort her out. I think her molars might be starting as well so I seem to have a bunch of compounded issues and I don't know how to put her down anymore with out patting her back or rocking her a bit.

What do you think of this for a new start to an EASY
Here is what I have so far
Wake and nurse 620-630
breakfast 730
Sleep 840 so First a time is 2h 20min in stead of 2hr...I think 2h 30mins - 3 hours is normal so that should be a good start
Nurse 11
Lunch 12:30
Second A time is 3 hours
Snack 2:30
Dinner 4:30-5
Nurse and bed 7

ETA: we had a short 2 hour a time today and lots of screaming before the nap..then a short nap but our second A time was 4 hours with minimal PD/WO and no paci ;)
Big win in my books!

Just an update to our situation.
Looks like Logan is switching herself to one nap. We have had problems with 30 minute naps during the transition but things seem to be smoothing out a little...still struggling.

this morning we had a 3:20 minute A time and 30 minute nap followed by a  4 hour A time and 1 hour nap.

The problem seems to be that I can't get her to bed before 8pm. She's tired by 7 but it takes me an hour to get her down and it's almost 8pm everynight like clockwork...does this make sense to anyone?

Not great but we are getting there. She is finally settling a bit on the SA issues so we have had better but not fantastic nights.
Yesterday she did 3 naps for a total of 2 hours. I am trying W2S to get past the 30 minute naps we are having, its working sometimes but not always so she's still short napping.
She has also started EW. This morning was up at 520 so since she had a good night I pushed her A time to 2h 30m and am going to try W2S to extend the nap past 30 mins. Hopefully we will get a good A time this afternoon but with the EW issue and short naps it's hard to get through the day on 2 naps to set up for the 2-1 transition KWIM?

I'm looking at this all as good progress but it looks like it might take us a while to get out of the UT/OT loop she seems to be stuck in!
