When did you start giving your LO oranges and fresh tomatoes?  :)

DD2 had a few pieces of tomato the other day and she's 8 months.  She seemed ok.  We do pasta sauce too and she doesn't mind it or react/rash out.

I worry about the acidity with oranges so none yet.

If your LO has reflux I wouldn't give either until the reflux is settled - maybe 1 year? Otherwise these are advised to be okay from ~8 months onwards by Plunket NZ :-*

My DS eats both oranges and tomatoes and he is 8 months. They are 2 things I found make great finger foods for him

The UK NHS has no restrictions on feeding them after 6 months, however, I would give tomatoes cooked to start with (less likely to cause a reaction) and give oranges as small pieces of finger food either with the inner 'skin' removed or chopped up small.  Just be aware they are both foods which can cause reactions so keep an eye on it.  Also be careful not to attribute every tiny thing to a food allergy.   I was sure my son reacted to egg and raw tomato the first times he had it but then he was fine later.  It could have been that he just had a mild reaction and is now fine or just some unassociated patch of eczema that I attributed to the food but was unrelated.
Here's my blog which is focussed on simple food for babies, toddlers and families http://mamacook.blogspot.com/
