Cereal 1x per day ok for 7 mth old?

My DS has been on solids for about 2.5 months.  He is now 7.5 months old and been on 3 meals per day for the past 2-3 weeks.  I give him oatmeal with fruit mixed for breakfast, a veggie and maybe some yogurt at lunch and some blended fruit/veggie puree for dinner.  Should I be giving oatmeal at dinner too or is 1x/day enough?  I keep reading conflicting things on various websites so wasn't sure.

Once a day is totally fine. 

Has he started on meat yet?

I would stick to 1x a day and start offering more variety instead.  :)

Thanks! I did introduce some chicken and beef but it is pureed as well....I have tried to introduce lumpier food and he gets upset.  I guess he isn't quite ready but I will try ever week or so....
