Should I feed after short naps?
« on: July 26, 2011, 02:32:11 am »
HI there,
My 4 month old still takes short naps most of the time (45 min).
She is awake for about 1.5-1.75 hr, then sleeps for 45, so her feedings hardly ever go longer than 3 hrs, lots of the time they're acctually  2.5 because I want to keep the sleep, eat, play cycle going...
She's often not taking full feeds at 2.5-3 hrs, she's not super hungry.
I know she can go longer, I"ve seen her do it when she takes the occasional 2hr nap.....but Im not sure if I should be waiting to feed her after her short naps.
thanks

I remember at one stage with mine I had to do the feeding separate from the S. I just made sure I wasn't feeding to sleep - as long as there was some A time between E and S I was ok. I would end up with EAEAS.
But maybe other mums will give their experience.
