My DS (7.5 months now) was a good night-sleeper from 4.5 month to 6 month. But then he's seriously night waking from 6 month for more than 1 month so far.
At that time of his 4.5 month old, we succeeded in applying a 4-hour EASY routine on him.
He had two stable 90-minute sleeps in daytime plus a good 40-minute nap in evening. And then he could sleep quietly for about 10.5 hours over night. He matched the time table perfectly.
We were very happy with that especially after when we eliminated the only night-feeding in his 5-month old.
However! After we tried to eliminate his evening nap when he was 6 month old, he kept waking at lease 4 times each night. What's more, his daytime sleeps last only 40 minute. So we had to try to change back to the previous routine, which worked perfect. But he is still not used to it after one month trial. Even worse thing is he drinks and eats less and less than before.
His current routine is 4-hour EASY with 2.5-3 hour A time.
6.00am-7.00am wake
7.00am eat (formulae and then solid)
9.30am sleep 40 or 90 minutes
11.00am eat
1.00pm-1.50pm sleep, starting time depends on the length of previous sleep
1.30pm-3.30pm wake
3.00pm-3.30pm eat
4.00-5.30pm Possible evening nap
7.00-7.30pm bath and feeding
7.30-8.30pm night sleep
At night, to handle with the 5-10 times waking, we use sh/pat method.
Also, if the possible evening nap is off, the night sleep seems to be worse.
BTW, we thought he was teething and tried teething gel, but it didn't work. And the teeth didn't come out after 1 month.
Thank you for any advice or help.
