First teeth and sleep issues

My DS is just over 8 mths and cut his first bottom 2 teeth last week.  He had a good couple of days once they broke through, but now all of a sudden seems miserable again. As the teeth come further up do they continue to hurt even though they broke through?  He is also having many night wakes now and is clingy. Thoughts?

I don't see any but it was that way with the bottoms..just showed up one day.
