sabs hun - it is so hard  - I had my wine all ready for after bedtime last night! ;)
I have to say that I am jealous of those with lo's that will nap. No naps with a spirited toddler and a 3 month old is sooooooo hard.

wendy - I know - he says it all the time now and today he asked me and I just said No I am not Henry and I just got a huge grin - charming!!!

I want to scream cry and throw things...oh, and drink with Sabs and Becky.

Becky I almost wish Finn wouldn't nap at this point. Truly.  What do I do with a kid on the weekend who is passing out at 10 am from yet another short night?  Grrrr.  I think I'm going to do early nap and early bedtime.  Seems like a logical choice (I'm being funny here - of course there is no logic in this!)

Consmummy - his body might be ready, body clock thing.  I'd give it a go to preserve your bedtime.

I don't get it.  Really!!

In bed and asleep by 8:05pm and woke up at 5:55am. By noon she will pass out and then the cycle continues.  Do I add more A to bt or just leave it as is?

Hugs, Sabs.  I have no idea.  I thought I got it but then boom nights are getting shorter again.  Averaging around 10h.  DS had a terrible wheezing cough!  It scared us as it sounded like he couldn't breathe.  Just managed to get him to nap.  Maybe his body clock shifted again.  We are all so tired from this...

On another note, doesn't it bug you all to keep meeting people with sleepy kids??  :p  I don't mean to be mean...  Just it's just come on!!  Why is it so easy for some??

OMG I hate those people.  Whenever DH and I discuss other kids we meet it's always 'did you see that kid passed out in the stroller?' or 'how nice for them their kid sleeps 7-7'

6:55 and he's yelling 'all aboard, daddy!  Choo choo'. Mildly funny.

My good friend (obviously don't hate her!) said she had a dinner party the other night and her 3 year old put herself to bed because she had lost track of time!!! oh how I would love to lose track of time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's not just other peoples kids either. Sometimes I see an advert or something where a kid is aslepp because "Well, kids eh! don;t they just fall asleep all the time". Pfffft yeah right lol.

Ladies, what would you do today.  Madi was up at 6am, napped from 12:25pm-1:40pm, woke up screaming b/c I was not on the sofa with her. Sigh.

What time should bt be?  I don't know how long she needs-6hrs? if she is in bed at 7:40pm, that means we will get a 5:40am wu tomorrow. WTF is wrong with this girl?

Sabs, if you aim at 7:40, she will be asleep around 8?  Then wu will be 6?  I am lost myself, so just some hugs...

You know...  I see how so many new parents just get on with their live tagging along a LO!  Cant even wait to try for second because it's been so easy for them!  Arghhhh, I just want to scream!

DS is totally out of sorts today.  Cough got slightly looser, at least no heaving.  But at 4pm, he was crying to go home from the park!!  We jut couldn't believe our ears!  Decided to put him to bed around 7, as he only had 30min nap at 12:30.  He got so hyper in bed, took him 30 mins but he was just exhausted, yawning in bath, etc.  Our usual bt is 9!  I am really worried that he will wake at 5!  I want to stay positive but it's not easy!!

Glad DS's cough is better Koe. I think you have to expect more Ot with illness.

We did a nap today as we have been getting earlier and earlier wu's. We were up 7am and napped 1-2.30. I had him in bed at 8pm but he messed around until 8.50 before he slept. I am anticipating a 7.30 wu in the morning. I am getting good a predicting wu but not the sleep part.

I have a party for my 7yo neice tomorrow afternoon so not sure when will fit nap in???

since he is not feeling well, he may surprise you and sleep longer. Fx for you and sending some healthy vibes your way.

I dream of a 7am wu now. LOL. I get so upset b/c this has been her wu time as far as I can remember and now we are stuck with these pesky ews. this sucks!!

I put her down at 7:45pm and I think she fell asleep at 7:55am. Please 6:30am wu-at least.  :'( :'(

How did last night go, Sabs? Sorry I've not posted  in response to you before, but I don't really have anything constructive to offer! Just wanted to let you know you have my support.

I know what you mean the nodding off in the pushchair thing. DS1 would NEVER sleep anywhere else other than the cot. DS2 does sleep in the pushchair, that was the only place he would sleep when he was little. BUT I have to recline the pushchair, pull the sunshade right over to block out as much stimulation as poss and these days the second I stop walking he's awake! it's not like 'ooh, look at that, he just nodded off' or anything.

10Hr night after his lil brother up early and babbling at the top of his lungs from 6am. I put him down just before 11 and had 25min screaming because he decided he wanted a bath! At least i can get him up by 12.40 if he has 1.5hr and make my party by 1. My sister decided we should come early which made nap a tight squeeze. Sorry i don't have much to offer advisewise. If we get ot i would let k sleep as long as he wants and do a late bt and hope for a lay in. I do think she sounds more like a dear issue than sleep alone sabs. What would happen if you stayed with her to sleep at night until she gets out ot cycle and worked on withdrawing later?

thanks for the support.
At least we have each other.  :-*

DD2 too will sleep in the pushchair but that has to be covered also.

I am emotionally, physically and mentally drained.  :'(  Guess who woke me up at 5:50am on the dot this morning?  It wasn't my alarm clock!  I brought her back to her bed and stayed with her until her sunshine came on.  I kept asking her what happened to my good sleeper.  I was in and out of sleep and I thought for a minute she fell asleep but nope. So I guess, me staying in her bed is not want she wants. I just think she is stuck on these 10hr nights and doesn't know how to sleep in more.
As soon as the sun came on she said "mommy go downstairs, no more sleep."  That was another 10hr night.  If I shift her nap later and bed time to 8:30pm, does that mean she will wake up at 6:30am???
I don't want to cut her nap ATM as her nights are short.
This really sucks.
