Micro-nap...what to do?
« on: August 24, 2011, 12:35:12 pm »
I pop out normally during my sons 'A' time... he occassionally has a short sleep i.e. 5-10 minutes on the way home. Would this effect his A time in general or do I still plan to put him in his cot when he was due to go in if he doesn't have the darn micronap?

I often find that my kids can stay up almost a full A time even after a mini nap like this. I would watch for signs and put him down as soon as you think he's ready. With dd I would maybe give her an hour and a half before attempting another nap, but it depends on the time of day and how long you want him to sleep etc. Don't know if that helps..!

This happens to us too often! I usually go by his cues on this one. Sometimes a little nap like that can give them so much energy other times they really needed a bit of extra sleep so I'd put them down at the usual time. Just go by the baby, they'll tell you:-)
