So I bf'd my twins for 6 weeks and switched to formula. I could still express a little if I wanted to but nothing major in engorgement when I stopped. They got a really bad chest cold when they were 14 months and I slept with D on my chest one night and had a major letdown of milk

. This was after 12+ months of stopping. When I got pg with E, the milk dried up immediately and turned to colostrum.
I bf'd E until almost 13 months

and I'm still making tons of milk. She's now going on 16 months. I didn't have engorgement or any other issues when I stopped but every once in a while after a cuddle with her I have a bit of a letdown of milk. I have a bit dribble out when I do a breast exam (which in light of recent events with a dear bw'er and breast cancer is about 6 or 7 times per month). I have cystic tissue so I do check each lump out and I know this may stimulate things a bit but how long could this keep up?
Can anyone tell me how long I can potentially be lactating for after stopping bf'ing?
TIA
Vicki
