Thought I'd post a wee update.....have been keeping his nap at 2hrs but increased A-times. He's been going down for bed at 5hrs A-time but then taking around 15mins to fall asleep (which takes him up to 5hrs 15mins A-time which is what I've increased it to if that makes sense??), so it's been around 7.30pm that he seems to be settled by. He's done a couple of 11hr15min nights & this AM I woke him at 7am.

He had a settling in session at nursery yesterday & I left him for an hour.....he pretty much cried the whole time   :'(.......he starts properly on Monday & god knows how on earth they'll get him to sleep, so I now feel really anxious about it all!  :(

Hey Hun that's good about the routine, ((hugs)) on the nursery bit! Is he there a whole day? Or can he just nap at home as normal? Settling into nursery is so rough, I've had a fair few threads about it!!! Xx
Blessed mum to two home-birthed darling water babies

hey you with the pretty face, welcome to the human race

He's there from 8am-2pm Mon & Fri so he will need to sleep there. I'm not back at work yet so I guess if it's all a disaster then I could pick him up after his lunch & bring him home to sleep?! *sigh*....I think we were lucky with M that she settled into nursery really quickly & easily but I always knew my sensitive little man would be harder!

Tough isn't it!!

Urgh! So I think we might already be heading into OT territory & he hasn't even started nursery yet!  :P

He's got a bit of a cough & cold (also can't totally rule out teething as his top 2 canines have just come through so I'm sure the bottom 2 won't be far behind!), but he's been hard to get down at BT then unsettled during the night & waking earlier.....umph!  ::)

So today was E's first day at nursery & I was dreading it!! DH dropped him off on his way to work & E was really upset when he left but I called mid-morning & he had settled.

They even managed to get him to sleep (he's in the toddler room where they sleep on mats & I'm always amazed that they manage to get them to sleep on them!) & he managed to sleep for 1hr 20 mins which although less than at home (which I was expecting) wasn't a total disaster bearing in mind he has never really slept anywhere than his cot.

So what time to do BT? He slept from 12.30pm-1.50pm....aim for him to be asleep for 7pm...or earlier?
