Should I bother?
« on: September 19, 2011, 08:42:50 am »
wiht the DF that is, if its going to create wind issues should I even bother with it? I wanted to try it because I really would like to get more than a 2 hour block of sleep at some stage but it just seems to be an extra feed where he doesnt burp (no matter WHAT i try) and then hes uncomfortable all night in his sleep, last night all I could hear was him squirming and squeaking etc in his bed, drove me nuts!

If it's not agreeing with him then I would leave it. Neither of my refluxers did well with the DF, so we just waited for them to wake when they were hungry. You can always try again at some point.

This! I had a refluxer and most feeds were a nightmare, so ditched the DF, hugs!

well I did the DF last night and it took an hour to get all the wind out, but once I did he finally did a big stretch of sleep and slept till 3am!!! of course at the next feed he didnt burp AT ALL! so was up an hour and a half later with wind *sigh* its just this wind thats a huge issue, we would all get some sleep if he would just bring it up!!!

I think I will keep trying the DF for a couple more days and if no improvment will drop it, its just awful going to bed around 10pm (when all my jobs are done etc) only to be woken up an hour or so later to feed him, I would much rather be able to just feed him and go to bed

Why don't you try the DF at 10 when you go to bed? That's what we used to do in the days we were still trying it!
