From what I can tell the Freestyle may be a little fancier. It has a memory button and a screen ( not sure for what). The In Style that I have has the two phase technology and the carring bag. I has been plenty for me as a working mom. I have to pump 2-3 times a day and it takes about 10-15 mins to empty (some times less).

I have a medela pump in style (in the back pack). I know many many women who use that particular one and the Lactation Consultant I went used the same model as well. I am very please with the suction and ease of use. If you are planning on having more children or going back to work... or dont want to sit there pumping for twice as long it is definitely worth the extra money for the pump in style (over the swing). The freestyle is hands free and has a computerized system. (The pump in style is manual turned up/down.) I am thinking that it would be worth buying the freestyle if you were going back to work fairly early in your child's life and will be pumping every 2/3 hours. Good luck!
P.s. I have Born Free bottles with a baby controlled nipple so the milk only come out when the baby sucks.. kind of. It's still easier then BF but my baby has had no problem going back and forth. While I was working on BF I exclusively pumped for a few days and she went back to the breast with little fussing.

I just got a Medela Swing the other day and love it! I was previously using a Lansinoh hand pump, and since my milk has stabilized a bit, was having a hard time getting anything with it! So far the Swing is working great. I've also used the Calma bottle. My LO is very easy going when it comes to switching from breast to bottle, but she didn't have any problems with it!

I got a Medela Swing, bought 2nd hand from a good colleague of mine, and I have to say I hate pumping. I have not tired any others, so don't know if I'm not very successful at expressing or if the pump doesn't suit me (I have rather large breasts, I need to hold my breast and the pump). I also find the bottle leaks if it is tipped to the side, why it is not sealed a bit more really baffles me!
BUT my colleague loved it so as another of her friend. So I might just be the unlucky one.

I use Tommy Tipee bottles, my little one seem to like them or he got used to it anyway.
Thanks for reading!
Coralie.

I have a Medela Swing. I have never used anythibg else bu have found the Medela to be easy to use and efficient. I also use Medela bottles and teats. Again, I have never used anything else but i have never had any problems with DD taking the bottle (though she can only manage a slow teat)

Thanks! :)

I've got hold of two Calma bottles+teats for the price of one. Saving up to buy the Freestyle pump as it seems to be the best from all I've read. I hope it'll be worth it in the end :P
