I would try a 3.30 CN.  Can you do it in the car?

Aidan did go back to sleep until 2.10pm.  So he slept 12.45 to 2.10 with a 7min wake up after 30mins.  I am pretty happy with that for the first day!  espeacially as he has only done 40min nap with me for a while.

Tomorrow I will be doing the 12pm set time which means he may be up from 1.30 which is a little more time to BT than today so will have to see how he goes.

Gross - Teething monster seems to have added a third incisor to the mix of fun... I can see one on the bottom left fairly clearly just below her gumline.   The two top ones still have not cut through... we have now had 4 nights of random crying and resettling... so far today, her nap is going great.  No groundskeepers around ;)

And of course, since she is in such pain, we are using Advil again... and she is getting constipated from it :(  Sigh.

Melissa - ugh.  I'm not a fan of a CN.. I hope it works for you.  I have learned the hard way that I am much better to pull BT ahead 30 mins and just keep things low key for the afternoon... a CN gives me a shorter night every time!

She is pretty much refusing it anyway.  We'll see. Looks like yet another EBT. she seems to catch up by giving me 12.5 hr nights sttn but still can't seem to get a longer nap. Think I should push her a bit more and do 12 for a few days?  Cause going back to 11:30 for 2 days hasnt worked. I dunno.

If you think 12 would be better then maybe do it and stick to it for a week like I am.  Or if you prefer 11.30 then stick with that for a week?!

How long did it take your LOs to lengthen their nap?

No CN definitely early bed. Guess I will try 11:45 for a week and see. I did try to do that with the 11:30 but on day 3 she did that whole sleep in late thing and messed it all up. Ugh

Is the EBT a must with a short nap or only if you think they need it?  Just wondering if letting her catch up at night keeps her from taking a longer nap if that makes sense. Like her age 13-14 hrs/day is the average so with a 12.5 hr night (with an EBT) maybe she doesn't take the longer nap cause she doesn't "need" it?  Just a theory. I dunno anymore.

LOL!  If only they could read our posts on BW - then they would know what they are supposed to be doing :)

I am living in long nap land today!!  BLISS!  I am so pleased that she was able to get a good solid nap today - poor little thing has had a rough go for 4 nights and 3 days now... and I found a 3rd incisor trying to come in!  UGh.  Top two next to her front teeth and now one on the bottom too!

Alexandra was down for a nap at 1130am.. it's 1.50pm now.. she did make a stir at 1.30pm but went back to sleep a minute or two later...   And, she has slept quite well - no huffy puffy over the monitor!

Melissa - i was actually thinking that - you might not get a longer nap because she does so well with her nights... she may not need any more...

OMG!  We are 5 mins shy of the 3 hour mark with today's nap!  SO HAPPY!  I finally feel like she might catch up from all of her NWing the last few days!  WOOHOO!  It has been a really good nap too... very little stirring and almost no noise from her really :)  Happy momma!

Hey Ladies

Just popping on again. Naps are getting a little shorter this week, but I'm still sticking with 2 naps. I think teeth are playing a big part as when DD cries or opens her mouth, her gums are just bulging!
I hate teeth. Hate. Them.
But we're still getting STTN and 12-13hr nights as long as we EBT her, so that's all I can ask for! ;)

Did some of you see this on the 10-12 month birth club that Brooke (I think!) posted? http://www.motherhoodsupport.com/2010/08/sleep-regressions-what-they-are-and-how-to-deal-2/

Made for an interesting read.

Kara-very jealous of that long nap! Way to go A!

Melissa-how are the naps going? Are they getting any longer?

Kara what kind of nights do YOU get? I am devastatingly jealous of you right now. I could cry.
