TOday was wu at 7 after sleeping 12.5hr straight

Tried 1st nap at10:15 figuring it would take the standard 10 mins to fall asleep. Nope. Took 45 mins and she only slept 30mins until 11:30 ish

Tried nap #2 at 2:15 to again give time to fall asleep. That one never happened. After an hour of trying and her only sitting down once I finally pulled her out. As soon as she knew it was 'time' to get up she pointed to the curtains so I would open them up. ::) She then sat happily reading books in her crib.

She also didn't want to nurse at all, but is eating and drinking BM or water very well out of a sippy. Could this be SA? Or just her not being tired at all.
We're now looking at a 7hr A time until a 6:30 bt.
God sure likes to toy with my emotions. I was so happy after the great night she had! ::)

I understand her not being tired for the first nap, but what gives for the 2nd one?
I'm so scared for tonight.

That first nap looks way UT to me...esp after such a great night. I would try closer to 11 if you get a good night tonight. I suspect the next nap was OT...usually Z does 2/2.5hrs after a 30min nap. (HUGS) hun...tomorrow is a new day :-*

Yeah, I know, I know. ;) UT/OT cycle.
I'm really hoping that's all it is.
It just seems so weird that she acted the way she did. She's been pulling great nights like that for awhile now and will still go down for a nap, even if it's short.
Today was crying and tears and running around the crib, etc, etc.
Blah.

The sun will come out tomorrow, tomorrow... ;) ::)

I Agree with Sara UT /OT. I think you were doing do well for awhile with catch up  after a good night like that I would totally push the A times. God I know how you feel. Sorry :/  I know you have been following the 2,3,4 right ?  As I said maybe that helped catch her up but she is now ready to be pushed a little. See how her night is though. After a bad day like today of she doesn't have a good night I definitely wouldn't push too much tomorrow. If you think she can handle and you get the 7 am wake up I'd go with an 11 am nap. Keep us posted and good luck. I don't really feel like I am the best choice got advice but I have learned SOME things. Hopefully this helps ;)

Have a feeling it's not gonna be a good night. Hearing a cry out here and there. Those awful teeth :( poor baby she just let's out a cry and that's it. Heartbreaking really. Hope I am wrong and she gets in a good night. Fingers crossed.

We are living in not so happy baby land too :(

I decided to let her lead me today since she has come down with a runny nose/cold... she was awake at 530, kept quiet and snuggly until 615am... was shattered by 945am... up to her room with a small bottle to get her through a decent nap (I suspect she slept restlessly all night but didn't wake me other than the 12:10am and EW), put her down at 955am and she closed her eyes immediately.  I expected an hourish nap, max 90 mins... nope - she didn't wake until 12:20pm!  Got a killer refusal of PM nap but did manage a 20 min snuggle in her dark room at 320pm... She wasn't showing any tired signs at all but I got her to bed for 645pm... got the OT cry out at the first 45min mark :(  Had to go up and stroke her head for a couple minutes to calm her... ugh - this could be a long night.

Smurfette - after a 12.5 hr night with no OT buildup, I wouldn't PD any earlier than 11:30am (a 4.5 hr A time)... and I would actually be tempted to push her closer to noon.

I would leave it at 11.30 personally.

I am another one hating the teeth at the moment.  1hr of crying in the night - yuk.  He has been so tired this morning.

Hey all

We got a 12.5 hr night again,6:30pm-7am. Quiet the whole time.
However DH and I are on different wavelengths about how long to keep her up. I think today I won't stretch too much b/c she may be still tired from yesterday (however as I type this, she is currently walking around the room backwards and dancing ;) ).

Tomorrow I may...we'll see how today goes. Dh is scared that if we push her too much, we're going to go back to EWUs.

Sweetie after a solid 12.5 hour night I think she will be refreshed to push As if that is what your goal is.
