I agree with Smurfette... it's crappy, but you have to do it at some point.

So much for our awesome day yesterday with that fantastic 3 hr 15 min nap... I just head a baby wake up at 90 mins... CN today!

Melissa how long have you stuck with 1 A time before trying another? I wonder if she just need consistency for a good week or two. What do you think.

Good luck for tonight

She has been at 4hr A for a long while...I go by her signs and for the most part she was on a 4 hr A...the problem is she refuses a pm nap so recently I felt I had to stretch it to move her nap as close to midday as possible to avoid OT or EBT...yesterday looked like this more or less...

6:30 WU
5 hr A
11:30 nap
6 hr 45 min A (pm nap refusal)
6:15 bed

She sttn and woke at 6:20...no 5 a.m. WU's at all!  :)  not sure what to do anymore...9 times out of 10 she fights that pm nap...

What should I do today?  Figuring I need to come up with a schedule that doesn't rely on a pm nap...maybe I am doing it at the wrong time?  I don't know...yesterday I tried at 4 hr A which was 4ish...she seemed like she was gonna sleep but ended up screaming ...OT? Sigh I dunno

I think she might be ready for a one nap schedule Melissa - I would just keep that one you have posted and stick as close to it as you can, even if she wakes early to help reset her body clock...

Is there a way to opt out of teething?!?  LOL!  Alexandra has been sailing through to at least 1030, closer to 11am every day for a week or more... she slept 815 - 625 last night with no NW at all... she was in bed at 755 but our neighbours were moving last night and kept her from falling asleep (but she never fussed for me to come to her!!!)... this morning, she was cranky, crying etc... miserable with teething pain... so I gave her some Advil and put her down at 945am without any debate from her!  Poor kid :(

Just saw this...ugh another pm nap refusal :'(  napped 10:40-12...1 hr 20 mins...I was goin to try and be consistent like u said so I did 4 hr A like I was doing but I suppose I shouldn't have cause now I am gonna have a very OT baby at BT...sigh ...so ok from here on do as I wrote above u think?  Do u think she will start sleeping longer over time? Should I be doing an EBT?  Can anyone suggest a possible EASY?  Say she does a 6:30 WU...how can I encourage a later longer 1 nap?

Hugs Melissa, I found when z woke at 12 it was hard to get the cn. How long is the next a before you try the cn? I would get it after 4hr20 ish when z was on a first a of 4 hours. Have you tried the car or buggy? You only need 20 mins to get you to bt really. . I would try wu 6.30
Nap 10.45 for as long as she wants. Don't let her nap earlier than 10.30 even if you get ew.
Cn after a 4hr15 ish a time for 20/30 mins
Bt 2 hrs later

If she refuses the cn I would do ebt aiming for asleep at 6 after a long wd ie longer bath
Xxx

I tend to be tougher and much less terrified of OT than Sara ;) I would push her to 11am with a 630 WU.  Then fingers crossed for a 2 hr nap at least - 2.5 would be much better... then BT no earlier than 630pm... preferably 7pm.
