ZacsMumme you make a vg point which makes sense of why when she did 1h am nap on Weds I was all set for a short pm but had t wake her after 1.5h! Guttingly as wd love to have let her sleep... She did 1h again today so will keep an eye on this and - as you suggest - bring forward second nap tomorrow. Thanks for help. Realise my questions seem small compared to some people but feel bad enough about leaving her without poor lamb being OT. (She already seems to like CM a lot, and as much so being w other children...)
Susan, think As approx 2.5-3h to nap 1, then, now c 3h+ to nap 2. As ZM suggests going try bring that down.
Sure this is more challenging than my "job"...though infinitely more wonderful  :D

Hmm she had hour nap this am and I woke her, but we got delayed in Kingston (!) and so v OT when home after 3h A. Just cuddled her to sleep (only done that about three times), expelled guests and waiting w baited breath. Part of this is my fault, but I keep having to interrupt her sleeping for other people. For the next ten days have pledged to myself nothing will interrupt her sleeps. Going try 2h45m and bring back to 2h 30m if that too much. Also going bring forward BT to 6.30 as that seemed elicit same waking last night/today, and see how it goes.
When do you start back? And how many days? Hope you are ok about it.

On naps, we seem to be getting on well, with some fits and starts. Getting 40m most mornings (St 20, occ 1h), and most days 1h 30m pm nap. Still probs though when my husband home (ie a lot noisier!) though as she is appallingly light sleeper. Tomorrow first full day with cm: interested to see how she gets on there.
Funny you should mention EWs: we suddenly had a spate last week, and a couple bad nights (waking and wanting feed 12,3 and 6 on worst). Now warming pm formula and she upped afternoon feed from 1-2oz (when cold) to 7-8oz, which hope will help!

Child minder texted at half nine asking "is she a light sleeper?"!! EASY approx:
Wake 6.30/7
Nap 1 9/9.30 for 40m average
Nap 2 approx 1, but bring forward or delay according to first nap.
Guess first A is 2.5h, second 3h as long as she gets 40m+ sleep in morning. She appears to be getting better at resettling, even when OT. Slowly!

Re bottles a friend swears there is a 10m growth spurt...

Let me know how you goingx

Well yesterday we had an EW follwed by a 45 min am nap and a 45 min pm nap that was over by 1.40pm!!!! so bed was super early for us at 6.30...was terrified he would be awake soo early this morn but he slept until just before 7am! was so surprised. TBH I have not really tackled the switch yet he had a very bad cold/cough last week and now I am wondering if I should not wait until after the clocks change to do the switch as really should be starting to push his bedtime a bit later every night to cope with hour change but not sure how I can manage this if he is getting OT and needs EBT.
Does anyone have experience of this??
Feedback really appreciated on this point

SC22 hope today has gone well,,,you never know she might knock your socks off with great sleeping at CM!

Mine def had a 9mth GS, he just grew out of everything overnight!

We took L to Australia in summer and she adapted in a day or two both ways...as I keep reminding myself when worrying about clocks.
I would swap nap when have some clear days to do it consistently, perhaps sooner better so if not going well you stay chilled (as if your little boy like L he'll know if you're not!)
L slept at cm, but went down hour later than I suggested (apparently she was having too much fun), having not had lunch because she had been snacking (!) and then filled up on milk!! We chose cm for loving nature, not her focus on routine... Result: L was happy as could be, so naps-schnapps, I say!
Keep us posted

I copied what cm did today as she got incredible naps and seems to work:
W 6am (usu 6.30 though now she can resettle but husband went in...)
Nap 1 9.15-1015 (woke her!)
Nap 2 1-3.15 (I kid you not).
She is still exhausted by 6.30!
So her A time about 3h each time, but the longer am nap seems crucial to longer second one.
Am still on glass this might be a blip and we'll be back to scratching out 1.5 soon...but maybe she has just suddenly "got it"
Tbh I think my tough love resettling (more love than tough), and extra movement and stimulation (she's just "got" bum shuffling and so can move to furniture and cruise too) are also in the mix.
Gives you hope, I hope x
