What desserts do you make for your LO
« on: October 03, 2011, 12:14:14 pm »
My LO has a great appetite so I give her dessert at lunchtime and dinnertime.  She has lots of different fruits, plain natural yoghurt, rice pudding, oat biscuits sometimes but I'd like some new ideas.

I like cooking so happy (and would prefer!) to give her something home made.  Also with very little or preferably no sugar in it.

Would love to hear any suggestions people have.

Oh, I hope you don't mind me posting links but this is right up my alley!  I give desserts with either no added sugar or very little:

I have several different muffin recipes:

I came up with a mousse recipe the other day:

Blackberry fool has been a winner (very small amount of sugar):

An odd but easy recipe for rice pudding with no added sugar:

He loves picking at this, it's like a strudel:

This is what I make if I've forgotten to make anything because it takes minutes and he loves it:

Yoghurt pannacotta (has a tiny amount of sugar in but less than most commercial fromage frais):

This is one of my favourites too, a date loaf:

He loves jelly and I reckon better to give fruit juice as a dessert rather than a drink:

Oh and pancakes can be breakfast, snack or pudding:

Here's my blog which is focussed on simple food for babies, toddlers and families http://mamacook.blogspot.com/

wow, thanks for that :)

loads of suggestions.  I like the sound of the strudel one and the date loaf.  I'm going to have fun this weekend :)
