7month old still frequent night time wakings! Help!
« on: October 03, 2011, 21:07:35 pm »

My 7 month old has never really slept throughout the night - usually wakes up once or twice for a drink of water or a dummy but goes back to sleep pretty easily (which I didnt mind doing) he goes down easily to and has 2 naps during the day for an hour or 2 each, but has recently started waking every hour or so crying but when I go into him he usually stops when he sees me?? So I know he's not hungry or in pain! He's been on easy since 6 weeks old and on a 4 hour routine since 3 1/4 months, iv tried pu/pd iv tried upping his food in the day ect... I just don't know what to do, iv got a feeling it could be separation anxiety but don't know how to fix this??
His routine is as follows... (give or take)

7-8am awake and bottle, usually takes 8oz
9am breckfast- musili eats 4-5oz solids
Play time
11am bottle 8oz
Then nap for about 2hours
1pm lunch 5oz pureed fruit and some sort of finger food
Play time
3pm bottle 8oz
Then around 3.30 has a nap for about an hour
5pm dinner - 5oz meat and veg and also pudding usually banana custard
Bath
Can't usually stay up past 6.30-7pm
I stopped dream feeding at about 6 months after he had been on solids for a few weeks.

Then from about 12 am starts waking up
I'm pretty sure he's getting enough food and is on sma extra hungry milk.

Please help - I'm exhausted lol!

Hi there, is he teething?  That can create all sorts of havoc and they often seek our comfort during the night.
The tweaking never stops!

Hi, yes he has 4 teeth.
I had a sleep therapist come over the other day and she suggested I stretch out his feedings during the day so instead of 3 meals with formula in between as snacks, I feed his 4 meals and formula at the same time.
He slept 9 hours the first night and 10 hours last night!
-just thought I'd share incase it helps anyone else :-)
