10 min jolts?
« on: October 07, 2011, 01:00:02 am »
Hey everyone - I have a 2yo and a nearly 8wo. For the last two days I've been battling 10min jolts - and i mean EVERY 10 mins.. He stirs, tilts his head to either side, pops out the dummy and tada starts crying. He isn't swaddled and his nights and feeding is still ok. Any suggestions? I've sat in with him the entire 1.5-2hr (as best I can with 2yo) and still no different. Suggestions please!!

Sounds like he has strong jolts. Have you tried swaddling? It may be your best bet to get him to sleep longer?

I was a bit nasty (and figured it couldn't get any worse) and kept him up past a few yawns... the next sleep cycle ie.. after i fed and had a short a for nappy change he slept for a full 45, had trouble resettling and then another 40. Couldn't get any better than a 25 next sleep cycle, but at least it is SOOO MUCH BETTER THAN YESTERDAY!

He yawns at about 45mins, but is asleep 1hr after waking up.. He's doing better lately, still jolting heavily at 20 and 40mins, but at least the 10mins are gone!! THANKFULLY!
