is bovril safe for 9 month old baby,
just wanted to start give my son something new food.

I expect it's safe but it is very high salt content.

I would say no.  The per serving info put above makes the salt content too high for a baby.

Why would you want to give a baby bovril?  Is this as a drink or on bread or toast?  I know our parents used to give marmite on toast and I found a website which claims a child serving is 2g (really?  That's barely showing the knife to the pot!)  Personally I've steered clear of anything like this.  Also I hate marmite and bovril and my husband loves it.  I want more haters in our house ;)

I agree with Lemonthyme - I wouldn't give it to him.  I don't eat things like that so I would never give it to baby either.  Fruits/veggies/beans... stick with things like that :)  And watch the salt with beans too ;)
