I've read a lot on various websites about a 4 month regression. My daughter has been such a good sleeper since 6 weeks but since she turned 4 months she's been waking like a newborn again. it's now 3 weeks later and although we've had some good nights she's still not sleeping as well as before.
on a good night she'll sleep 7pm wake a 9:30 and sleep until 6:30am. on a bad night she'll sleep at 7pm wake a 8pm, 9:30pm, 12am, 2am, 3am, 4am, 7am
She used to rely on her dummy for every sleep so we've reduced her dummy use dramatically. She can fall asleep in her pram without it and she falls asleep for the night without it and after her dreamfeed (9:30) - the only times she really needs it is if she's napping in her cot in the day. The problem is when she wakes frequently in the night it's impossible to get her back to sleep without giving her a dummy. I've tried PU/PD and rolling her on her side for shhhh/pat but she's not interested.
So, I guess I'm asking - will the 4 month regression phase go soon (and nothing to do with the dummy)? or do I need to address her need for the dummy in the night?
Thanks for any advice... x
