Does my routine look good for him?? He loves his food.  My mom thinks I should offer him more real food now.  Like meats...I do give him them every once in a while and try to give him whole brown rice and real veggies he can eat.  He is just now starting to get his first teeth.  :)

wake 7/7:30
bottle 7:30/8 6oz
breakfast 9/9:30 1 jar of fruit mixed with cereal and 1/2 nutragrain bar

Lunch 12/12:30 1 jar veggies and 1 jar fruit
bottle 1:30/2 7oz

dinner 5/5:30 1 jar veggies, sometimes meat (chicken, turkey sausage)and  1/2 yogurt or 1/2 fruit
bottle 7:30/8 7.5 oz

Honestly? At this age we gave DS and DD whatever we were having! Obviously mashed or cut up if needed. We also fed the occasional jar during the week just for ease.

If he loves it then give it to him! Just be aware that milk is still there main source of nutrition until a year so perhaps I'd offer a milk feed an hour or so before lunch.

How about starting by giving fruit as finger food rather than puree and offering finger food vegetables alongside his tea?
Here's my blog which is focussed on simple food for babies, toddlers and families http://mamacook.blogspot.com/

Great ideas ladies.  I will try to do different foods for him.  He loves real food!!! Last night he had turkey sausage, mixed veggies and brown rice.

I agree that you could start offering him whatever you're having, if he's keen (so long as it's safe, of course!). Have you considered taking a baby-led weaning approach? My LO's menu today consisted of:

Breakfast: porridge (lumped on tray for her to eat on her own), a whole finger banana and cubes of papaya
Lunch: brown rice with prawns and mixed veges in garlic pepper sauce (she grabs the prawns by the tail and gums/sucks away at them), followed by cubes of watermelon
Dinner: cottage pie (messy but delicious)

Lots of fun! :)

What about eggs, are they too little for those?

As long as they dont have soft yolks and are well cooked eggs are fine!

Ok, I usually eat egg beaters (a healthy alternative to the full egg) and I am sure he would love it!!!

I would definitley introduce loads of variety into his diet now, especially if he loves it so much!
