confused about dropping catnap
« on: October 25, 2011, 22:51:24 pm »
DD is now 6 months and i just read the post about how you know when to drop the catnap. so far this is her schedule today:

AWAKE 7AM
EAT 730AM
SLEEP 10AM
AWAKE 1130AM
ATE 1145AM
SLEEP 230PM

this is the post i read:
"7am wakes up - stays awake for 2.5 hours (sometimes 3)
9:30/10am - 1st nap
11/11:30am wakes up and stays awake for 3 hours
2/2:30pm - 2nd nap
3:30/4pm wakes up"

if i follow this and she sleeps until 4 (1 1/2hr) she passes her feeding time, is she going to wake early because she is hungry? and then her next feed will be 8 but we like to feed her between 7 and 7:30pm

how do you suggest i adjust our routine to where i dont mess up her feeding schedule?

thank you =)

I always find you have to be a bit flexible with feeding times when dropping a nap as it can take a while before they settle into a new routine.  Have you started solids yet?  Or you could give a little top up before she goes down for nap so then hopefully she won't wake up hungry.
