Hi Sofie - Like Gemma, I am a huge fan of set naps, especially in a time of nap transitioning. It really does keep them more consistent day to day.
I would try the 10am nap and see how long she sleeps, then you may only need a CN to get through to bedtime. Regardless, do the 10am nap for at least 4 days and see what happens with that morning nap. If you get a good long nap of at least 90 minutes (preferably closer to 2 hours), then do the same A time as you did in the morning and then try for a CN.
Gemma - If you think OT is catching up with Aidan, I would use a couple of your days off to let him catch up. An OT baby will not move to a new routine easily at all. Then, once you think he is free of any cumulated OT, push back to one nap mid-day. You could do this with EBT or with 2 nap days... just remember that a 2 nap day can really make it tough to get onto a new pattern... I actually found that DD did better with me just putting her down for her one nap 15-30 mins earlier on days that she was a little more tired... I still do that if she needs it, along with EBT. Another thing that works is a car ride in the middle of baby's normal first A time... If Alexandra is getting OT, I will drive to a playgroup a bit further away to give her 10 mins in the car to get her to her normal nap time...
Melissa - EBT for sure
I find that 1hr - 1hr 20 is UT now and 1 hr 30 mins is OT.
We had a strange day yesterday - up at 630am and napping at 1140am... DH woke her at 215 to keep BT and she was shattered by 6pm
Must be tooth #6 making her extra sleepy. She did sleep 11 hrs last night and went down at 1150am today (after a 610 wake up). Went to playgroup and she stole 10 mins in the car at 930 :/ Still sleeping now at 140pm.
