Do I need an EASY tweak? Teething 9mo waking every 2 hours.
« on: October 30, 2011, 03:55:23 am »
We have a lot going on in our lives right now!
- We did PUPD 6 weeks ago and it worked like a charm until her teeth started coming in, started waking up at night again. Quit PUPD for teething.
- My DD (9mo on Tues) has gotten her first 4 teeth in within the last four weeks (the last one is just breaking through now).
- LO hasn't wanted to eat solids for a while and is just starting to eat them again
- LO will still go down for bedtime without BFing. (small hooray) Usually she will go down for nap #1 without BFing, but not 100% of the time.
- My husband and I bought a house and are renovating, so I have to do a 20 minute drive over there every day to check things out. So the afternoon nap is almost always in the car (I don't want it this way, believe me)
- LO is waking up every 2 hours from the time I put her down at night until morning.

So right now my EASY looks like this:

E 8:00 Wake up/BF
A 9:00 Solids (if she will take them)
S 11:00-12:30 in crib (sometimes she will go down with no problem, sometimes I have to BF)
E 12:30 BF
A 1:00 Solids (if she will take them)
S 3:30-4:30 - lately this has been in the car on my way back from checking out the renovations
E 4:30 BF
A 5:30 Solids (if she will take them)
   7:30 WDR (BF, bath)
S 8:00 Asleep

Our routine does vary depending on what kind of a day we're having (like if she decides she's not going to take that morning nap), but I generally aim for something like this.

Is she ready for PUPD again? How can I improve her routine (if needed)? Please advise! We're suffering here!!!

Do you think she is hungry at night because she isnt eating much? I found with Z's top teeth he wouldnt eat much, but was then hungry at night for milk ::) I ended up feeding him. That said we then had to spend a few days to get him back on track as he teethed for 3 weeks and got a bit of a breast dependency (not to sleep but to settle at night) This was sorted in 4 days and he went back to feeding and eating much better.

(HUGS) teething is rotten!

Thanks! It's good to know I'm not alone. It's really hard to know if I'm doing the right things or not!!!

Oh I know the feeling! FWIW I found 9-10 months a pretty tough age with sleep/developmental changes and teeth. It felt like there was one thing after another!

Once that last tooth has cut see how her routine goes and let us know how things are? There is no point doing PU/PD etc until this tooth is out :)

Yes I will let you know - and probably once that last tooth is out we will be getting more teeth in on the bottom! That would be my luck!
