My son is 7 months old and has an almost 4 year old sister. I did EASY (or rather, ESEAY) with my daughter and have been trying it with my son, but I'm running into issues because of his sister's schedule.
3 days a week she is at pre-school/childminder, so is being dropped off around 8:45 and picked up at 3. This is meaning I often have to wake him up from his nap in order to go and collect her, or he falls asleep in the car on the way to drop her off/collect her which messes our schedule up.
Does anyone have ideas or advice that may help me, please?
Our day when at home all day sort of looks like this:
6:30 wake up, breastfeed
A until 8:30
S until 10/10:30
10:30 breastfeed
A until 12
12 lunch
1:00 breastfeed
S until 3:30
3:30 breastfeed
A until 5:30
5:30 breastfeed and dinner
6:30 bathtime
7:00 breastfeed and bed
wakes and breastfeeds 11, 3, 6:30 (or any random combination of 3 times a night)
Some days if he wakes earlier from morning nap we will pop in a 1/2 hour nap around 5ish.
On a school/childminder day that morning nap is pushed back until 10 because he's snoozed in the car, and then that means the afternoon nap should really run from 2-4:30 but of course it can't because we have to leave the house at 2:40 to collect my daughter.... Urgh.
I can't work out what to do. I feel terrible because my daughter was a fab napper and night sleeper I'm sure in part because she slept pretty much the same hours every day in her crib. Whereas he doesn't get that luxury and is a terrible night sleeper. What should I do?
(thanks for reading, this is my first post although I have spent hours on here reading FAQs and sample schedules over the last few months!)
