toys for christmas ?????

Hey, xmas is coming up and wondered if people had some recommendations for toys for a two and a half year old girl ?? kinda looking for some thing challenging  she has great vocabulary and understanding and good patience to work things out   head a bit boggled of what to get thought may be some one might have some tried and tested things   any ideas would be great thanks x

puzzles.  melissa and doug make some great puzzles good for little hands.

My DD is 2.5 and she loves puzzles, she is really good at them! Djeco also makes great ones that are adapted to their age and are progressive.

Also I ordered something online last week, from Leap Frog called the Count & Scan Shopper, apparently it's a great toy it's been rated well by some consumer magazines here in Canada. But of course we haven't used it yet so I can't be sure that it's that great!
