My 3 month old used to go down for his naps somewhat nicely if I caught them just in the right window- putting him down like 5-10 mins before the 1.5 hour mark. Now, as soon as I start to swaddle him for nap or bedtime he starts to freak out. He will calm down usually after a while and then as soon as I set him down for sleep, he starts flailing, arches his back, screaming, etc.... this has been going on since the Thanksgiving holiday when we were out of town and has continued at home since we have been back. After about 10 minutes, I usually can get him to sleep between shh/pat, or PU/PD or just re-plugging the paci and rubbing his head, etc... but now these episodes have been happening in the middle of the night- around 1ish and again around 4 or 5ish. We have no idea what is wrong. Lastnight I did a DF at 11...and this fit started at 1:30. He was inconsolable and my hubby had to take him downstairs so he didn't wake the entire family and they spent the rest of the night downstairs since I haven't slept all week because of these episodes. He is really hard to settle down and won't stay sleeping for long - maybe 1-2 hours tops from the 1:30 wake-up on through the morning. He will eat once or twice even after the DF. He is on meds for reflux and has been since about 6 weeks old. He is also spirited/touchy. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

No worries, I have been distracted by a sick toddler AND a baby who wakes often in the night! :)
Lastnight was a tad better- he still woke up about 5-6x screaming though- 3 random and 2 he seemed hungry. He took a full bottle at 4:30am but the 12 or 1am ish wake-up he fell asleep after a few ounces. His nose is a tad runny and we are waiting for these reflux meds to kick in...so I will be able to tell in a couple more days if we have sleep issues on top of everything else. I think it may be time to increase his A time- he will be 4 months on the 22nd of this month?!?!?
