7 month old- Doesn't like breakfast?

We go through this phase all the time, DD has days where she only has about 20oz. She is just not a big eater, yet she is in the 75th percentile.
Well I give her the bottle, about an hour later I try breakfast. I will try oatmeal and pears, she takes 3 bites and then she is rubbing her face and whimpering. so i stop....lunch and dinner she scarfs down her food. is this common? any suggestions?

Mm maybe try a bit later? some kids jut don't eat big meals throughout the day. My LO sometimes hardly eats his tea, but he always has a good breakfast and eats well during the day. I wouldn't worry, she is still little and food at this age is experimentation. Maybe try a few diff foods and textures as she may not be a fan of oatmeal or pears

Thank you..She loves lunch and dinner. Ive tried other kinds of cereals and pears are her favorite fruit. Maybe I will just hold off on breakfast a little bit longer =)

DS1 didn't eat breakfast for a good 1.5hrs after his morning BF at this age. I would try later as pp says. Also at 7mo if she isn't having breakfast it doesn't really matter. She is obviously getting what she needs if her weight is up there.

Agree A lot of LOs at this age are still only on 1-2 meals a day of solids so she is doing fab

I wouldn't worry if a 7 month old isn't hugely interested in breakfast.  I'd just all sit down to breakfast together if you can and offer her things you're having.

thank you so much everyone! This morning I sat down with her and she wouldn't even take a bite of her food. So I gave her some of those puffs and yogurt melts, she went to town on them lol. she loves to feed herself, so i just let that be it. for lunch im sure she will eat a bunch =)

Mine takes notions still at 13 months... some days she inhales breakkie and other days doesn't want much of anything... bottle or no bottle.

I used to give DD a good 2 hours after her first bottle before breakfast was offered.  Even now, she gets 4 ozs at wake up and will easily go 90 mins before asking for something to eat.
