I hate even the thought of this....but maybe it's time my DS is dropping his nap? I wanted some advice because maybe we are just in an UT cycle. DS has not really ever slept more than 10-10.5 hours at night since he was an infant. He used to sleep 8:30-6:30 no problems. The last couple of weeks though he has really struggled to get to bed before 9 and is up by 6. He naps 2-2.5 hours around 12:30/1 everyday. I make sure he's out of bed by 3 if he's still sleeping so we can protect the nighttime. I feel like he still needs his nap, because he does get tired, but lately he's been able to push farther than 1pm to nap and it's been a little bit of a struggle at naptime too. We've had a couple of random days where he lays in bed for awhile, or plays in the car if we're traveling and just doesn't catnap until much later, but they aren't frequent. Are we dealing with a lack of activity this freezing cold time of the year? The kid is running circles whenever he can, so I know he's well rested! He just can't calm down enough to sleep lately. I think lately he's only gone to sleep out of boredom, not tiredness. Do I limit his nap and see if that helps? Thanks!
