Sounds like you'll have a smooth transition! I've heard keeping cabbage leaves cold in the fridge and putting them in your bra can help your milk dry up and reduce the risk of you become too engorged.
Hope LO had a good night! Enjoy those newborn snuggles xx

From a BTDT mummy (different reasons but same outcome) - I totally agree a happy mummy = a happy baby, sounds like you have a happy baby today!

Yes feeling good about my decisions so far. She has her days and nights mixed up right now so we are trying hard to feed every three hours during the day and keep her awake for a little bit.

Don't worry about that day/night thing.. it will be a bit before she gets them sorted - she just needs to eat and grow right now
If you end up in a bit of pain while drying up - hot shower and lots of ibuprofen

M had days/night mixed up, too. Keep to the 3h feeds + some A time (not much at this age) during the day and quiet/dark/right back down after a feed during the night. It took us a couple of weeks, but she's doing well now.

(((HUGS))) Mickey... I agree with all the pp's that happy mommy = happy baby. If you're uncomfortable with it and it doesn't make you feel good, you've tried it and done what you could.
No guilt!

Hi Mickey - no, it's actually worse!
He just won't breastfeed anymore ever since we had it done. Not sure if it's because he needs to relearn to use his tongue or he just decided he prefers the bottle. Will keep trying for a little bit and we'll see what happens.

Ladies - give it a good try and if doesn't work out, don't feel bad one bit. I swear that there are babies who just don't like the BF - mine included. I tried for 10 days and she just was not into it one bit...
She has grown into a very healthy and happy toddler
