rolling over during sleep
« on: December 20, 2011, 15:17:45 pm »
Hi,
My 5 month old is a tummy sleeper.  He learned how to roll over from tummy to back a few weeks ago.  At bedtime, we need to go in a few times before he falls asleep to put him back on his tummy because he is having fun rolling onto his back.. except he cannot fall asleep on his back (we've tried leaving him.. didn't work).  Last night he woke up at 3, 4:30, and 5:30.. every time I had to go to his room, put him on his tummy and he would fall right back asleep.   Are these night wakings developmental?  He no longer eats at night (just his df).

Thanks

Sounds like it could well be developmental and as he learns to roll back onto his tummy he will more than likely be able to sort himself out and stop the NW.
