Hiya
I've got another post in night wakings too about an early waking but I'm thinking it's all connected to our nap woes
My lo is coming up 21 weeks and we've always had problems with naps but since the in laws came to stay at Christmas we are even more confused I think I may have been putting him down ut as we had problems with 45 min naps. Now I think he might be in a ot loop and wakes at 35 mins.
He has been waking at 5.30 and on advice of hv I haven't been feeding as he isn't crying for food and feeding at this time was throwing of breakfast and the rest of the day. If I leave him he will babble and chat, then mantra cry and fall asleep at 6.45 for 45 mins til 7.30 I then get him up and we start the day. This is also when he used to sleep til when i fed him when he woke hungry between 3-5. I'm not sure if this is where I am going wrong. But 5.30 is a very early start to the day , although better than 4.40 which is where we were 2 weeks ago!
Before the Christmas crazy time he was still doing the ew but we then struggled with the 45 min nap barrier.
So today our day was
5.30/45 woke babble and mantra
6.45 sleep
7.30 wake
7.45 bottle
9.45 - 11.20 .sleep put him in the cot at 9.25 with White noise he played then mantra cried for a few mins. Woke at 35 mins still eye rubbing so I shush pat for a few mins until he fell asleep then httj for 30 mins he then slept another 30 mins on own
12 eat - bottle and baby rice
13.15 sleep had to do a couple of mins of shush pat. Woke at 35 happy dh tried to shush pat back to sleep but cried hard for 20 mins and then abandoned.
4 bottle
4.50 ap cat nap rocked to sleep and sleeping on me on sofa - this is normal for us
We will do bath at 6, bottle at 6.30 then bed by 7 he is really good at going to sleep on his own at bedtime
Df at 10
He wasn't showing sleepy signs when I put him down for the morning nap but he'd been up 2 hours. After waking at 11.20 he then started showing sleepy signs at 12.10 only 50 mins a time. Should I have put him down then? Rather then keeping him up? He's been a happy chap this afternoon up to 4.40 when I figured a slightly early catnap. I expect this means he will be tired when he wakes from it though.
Sorry for the long post but I just wanted to try and give enough info for you wise ones to figure out what we should try next.
