Thanks Melinda & Bex for the encouragement.  Over the past week, I see big improvement in his naps, ie not fighting as much and goes down easier even though he maybe a bit OT. (still working to improve his schedule).  After observing him sleeping on his tummy for a few days, I started to put him down on his tummy for some of his naps.  He seems to be adapting fairly well and goes to sleep quicker (less tossing and turning)

Melinda: I give him half a receiving blanket during nap and bedtime routine, and he goes to sleep with it.  He loves to suck on cloth (or any toy, teether, anything that I give him :P) so I was hoping the receiving blanket will help him self sooth.  Not sure if he 'loves' it, but so far he is taking it really well.

Sounds good to me.  My daughter had a Snoopy, and used to "fuzz"--pick a piece of Snoopy's "fur" and rub it on her upper lip!  Whatever works....
