Time to cap the nap, any advice please.
« on: January 04, 2012, 14:17:21 pm »
Hi, DD is 19 mo and I am pretty sure we need to reduce her daytime sleep. I have been capping the nap at 2hrs for a long time now, if she slept longer we got long NW. Well they have started again and along with this we are getting BT refusal too now. Yesterday she slept for 50mins at daycare and then I had to wake her up this morning (for daycare again) after 12 hrs STTN without a peep! She went to sleep instantly at BT too.

So just wondered what you think I should cap the nap at now? Was thinking 1h 45 but wondered what others had done. I am conscious she is still only young to be cutting sleep. Her routine now is...

WU between 7.30-8am
Nap - 1-3pm
BT - 8pm

Thanks for any thought.

hi bex, you could reduce it and see how things go? A slept for 1hr 55 yesterday and fell asleep within 5 mins at b/time. he has been taking ages to fall sleep at b/time so i was wondering the same thing but we havent been geting long NW'S though.
