not really interested in food
« on: January 23, 2012, 15:45:25 pm »
My lo is 31 weeks now and we have been trying solids since 26 weeks. He did seem to begin well and liked the pear but now is just not interested in food. He will suck a bread stick or a carrot or cucumber batton but won't eat his pear, carrot puree, sweet potato, parsnip, or even phili on the end of the bread stick. Any ideas what to try?

Just keep offering Dizzy! Could he be teething? Still drinking his milk OK?

Hi,
My DS2 was never really interested in solids.  It took until over a year before he had any real interest!  My biggest thing was not to push the issue, and just kind of go with the flow.  We stopped doing purees as they were just not going over well and switched to more of a baby led weaning approach with finger foods.  Maybe you'd find this helps put your mind at ease a bit:  http://babywhispererforums.com/index.php?topic=182686.0
