Well she woke last night at 11 for two hours! I did wi/wo the entire time, I have been doing this since Christmas but it doesn't seem to make her self settle any sooner!
She woke for the day at 6.15. Stuck to plan had her in bed at 10.50 and she woke at 12.20. My helper was here and she went in and gave her the rest of her milk bottle and she slept for another 30mins....if I had gone in she would have wanted up!
Anyway so official wu time was 12.50pm.
I had her in bed at 6.15 her brother went with her tonight as he was also very tired, they share a room. Don't know if this was it or if she was just well rested but she called out once and then fell asleep so i didn't have to go in. Not sure when she called out if ds told her to go asleep.......but she did and is asleep now :)

HUGS for 2hr NW but good progress on the Nap, hopefully she is going to realise she is still tired if she wakes early from the nap and will start to resettle or sleep longer :-\

good luck tonight!

Well she didn't wake last night and woke for the day at 5.40am. I had her in her cot for her nap at about 10.50am but she didn't fall asleep until 11.10. Will update on wakeup when she wakes!

Hey, it's so hard to know. I was always too scared of EW to do a 5.30 bedtime. Maybe split the difference and go for 6pm? And keep the afternoon quiet to avoid OT.

How long have you been doing the 11am nap now? Wondering if it's time to start pushing it out a bit to get out of this early bed EW loop.

What do you think?

I would do the same as pp suggested. I do think you need to stick with the set times however hard it is for about 7-10 days and then reassess. Holding your hand xxx

Will stick to the 6.30pm bedtime so. I have been doing the set 11am since last Sunday so going to look at it again this Sunday. I am 99% sure that this short nap and ew today will lead to a nw tonight of abut 2 hours from 11-1am.....it always happens :( :(

If you are shooting for set times, then you need to stick with them regardless of how the nap goes - the point is that you need to set her body clock and that won't happen if you keep moving things around by 30 minutes when things change. It can be pretty tough to get through the first bit when they are ot and adjusting, but if it works then it works really well.

Hope that you are wrong about the nw - if it is predictable is it worth trying w2s? I've never tried it myself, but I know that some people swear it works.

Ok well obviously I was wrong! She was in bed before 6.30 and dh said he had to go in once and then she was aleep so I would say she was asleep by 6.45. She woke at 5.20 and didn't wake during the night!!!! Sticking the the set times :)
