Wellllll she went asleep at about 6.35 and woke just after 7am!!!! So she did tack on the lost sleep from yesterday and I only had to go back in once last night!
S I was thinking of having her in bed for 11.45 and asleep for 12 or should I go later after the mammoth sleep last night?

I would go for a 5 hr A time then maybe 5.5 to BT if you get a good nap?

So I haven't posted in a while as things haven't been great and I have been trying to sort it myself. She is waking earlier in the morning...today 5am and the reason is cause her morning nap is too early, but I can't push it forward cause then I get an OT nap of 1 hour 20 mins and then she is OT at bed and won't go asleep!
So today
Awake 5.09am
Sleep 11.30 (pushed her to go later as I am sick of the ew's)
Wake 12.40 - OT here cause of long morning am.
Now I am looking at a bedtime for 5.30pm.....
With the hope that she will be asleep by 7pm!!!
How do I get my little one to nap a bit later and wake sometime after 6?

The cheeky CN doesnt work anymore does it? It would maybe just get you back to a reasonable B and (hopefully) WU :-\

Yea CN is a great option if you can get her to take it?

(((hugs))) Amy I was in this exact situation before Christmas & I know how difficult it is to see your way out of it.  I have to agree that your EW are likely to continue while her nap & BT are so early though.

The way we dealt with it was to push the nap (& BT) later by 15mins every week.  So it was like a set nap but gradually moving later IYSWIM?  And I also capped it at 2hrs max.  It took about 4-6 weeks to do, & I won't lie, for the first couple of weeks he had to do 6.5-7hrs A before his nap every day & he was beyond exhausted.  Within a few weeks (& after a catchup day of a 2.5hr nap) his WU suddenly started to follow suit.  Although it was horrible for a week or 2 because he was so tired out, I am sooo glad we did it b/c I can't tell you enough what a difference the later nap has made to us all.

For the last month we have had a consistent 2hr nap at 12.30-2.30, BT at 7.30 & I was having to wake him at 7am every day.  He's been having an hour's extra sleep per 24hrs than he was having before so he is so much more well rested & the difference in his temperament is unreal.

In the last week the EW are creeping in again so we're now working on pushing out & capping the nap so our routine will hopefully be:  WU 7am,  A = 5.75hrs,  Nap 12.45-2.30 (1h 45),  A = 5hrs,  BT: 7.30.

Thanks guys, cn will not work......she has never been keen and it is hard enough to get her to fall asleep at night as it is! Last night I had her in bed at 6pm and she didn't fall asleep until 6.45pm she cried out at 8pm I isn't go in though and was awake at 11pm, I tried to resettle by self, but gave her a small drink of milk and she woke for the day at 5.50am.
I had her in bed for nap at 11.10am but it took her until 11.30 to fall asleep and then she woke at 12.30! now what time will bed time be tonight???

What do yo think would happen with a super early BT? Ie 5.30 asleep by 6? Do you think she would tack on and do a bit longer (still maybe wake at 5 but get that extra sleep to catch up) ?

hugs hun, its so hard when they dont know what's best for them, we have just come out of a EW muddle and its so frustrating! ::) :-*

Just had a thought...how long has this all being going on for Amy? DO you think its the 18mth sleep regression or WW stuff?

I actually tried the super early bedtime last night. She went down at about 5.50 but not asleep until 6.15 or there a bouts. She woke at 5.35am had her nap at 11am and woke at 12.40. Again I had her in bed before 6 she fell asleep at 630, we didn't have to go in but she did call out several times, but in the end managed to settle herself. Last night she cried out several times in her sleep (has all her teeth no sign of two year molars)??????

Thats a good night sleep though hun at least. Maybe a few more of them will help her catch up enough for you to push for a 11.30/12 nap?

She woke this morning at 5.50am, so again a good night sleep.
I had her in bed at 11.15am for nap and she was asleep by 11.20, but woke at 12.40. So 1 hour 20 min sleep! After 5.5 hour a time! Should i shorten this tomorrow to 5 hour 15mins? She is still tired I can hear her crying in her cot after waking! What a time will I do now to bed time given that she woke at 12.40 after 1hr20min nap????

well the EBT seems to be helping her catch up at least. :) I would stick with BT at 5.45/6pm.
WHat happens if you go in there when she is crying at the 1hr20 mark. Can you APOP her at all back to sleep? I found if Z woke before 1.5hrs I could get him to go back to sleep with a quick cuddle and teething gel - his were usually pain waking though :-\

Got her into bed last night at 5.30 asleep at 6 and woke for the day at 6am so she was able to go down for nap at 11.20 asleep at 11.30 and woke at 1.15. So will have her in bed at 6.15 to hopefully be asleep at 6.45 which is 5hours 30mins from wake up??? Ok or should I do later??

IIWM I wouldn't do any later, since she already did 5.5hrs A before her nap.  Glad to see things are improving a bit for you now though!x
