Dropping bottles, but HAVE to have morning and night-
« on: January 26, 2012, 01:15:12 am »
my LO is 12 months and has dropped her 10 and 2pm bottle, but when she wakes up she is crying and grunting for her bottle, can get it quick enough! and  at night, like always she does the cry, rub eyes and ready for bottle with such excitement-

i am unsure how or when to drop these, and what do i do instead? ???

Move to a sippy cup!  I was surprised how easily my son moved to a free flowing sippy from breastfeeding.  Give it a go!  If she really wants it, she might have it!

Does she take much from a sippy in the day?

I wouldn't be in a huge rush to drop the am and night time bottles TBH.

Does she get her teeth brushed after her night time bottle?

I didn't drop DD's first bottle until almost 14 months - she wasn't ready and would have a meltdown otherwise.  Now, we get breakkie ASAP!  That said, we still have two bottles each day - one before her nap around noon and one at BT.  No hurry to drop them here either :)

she takes mil and water out of her sippy during the day. i have been brushing her teeth during bath time, which is before bottle. when they drop the bottle do they start taking it out of a sippy before bed?

DS didn't drop his AM bottle 'til about 16 months and his BT bottle until just before 2. DD is 15 months and still has a bottle in the am and a bottle before bed. No rush to drop either to be honest, I just brush her teeth afterwards.

DS is 3 now and still has his milk warmed in a sippy before bed!  :)
