7+ mo old--how much solid food?
« on: February 02, 2012, 20:58:25 pm »
Hi there!
My LO is just over 7 months old and I'm wondering how much solid food I should be giving her.  She started solids just before 6 months old and she's doing great. Right now we are only feeding her in the morning (about 2 tbsp of fruit/cereal/veggies) but I know she could eat more, and probably more frequently. Also, she is a pretty big baby--at her 6 mo check up she was in the 90% for weight and height.  I am finding that I have to supplement with formula to keep up with her appetite more and more.
Here is her EASY:
E- 6:30/7:00am wake up and bf
A-
E- 8:00 solids (2tbs or so of cereal/fruit/veg)
S- 9-11 (1.5-2 hr)
E-11 bf/bottle
A-
S- 1:00-2:00 at the latest lately
E-3:00 bf/bottle
A-
E-7:00 bf/ bottle
A-night time routine-bath or book, change, snuggle
S-7:30
Dream feed (4oz) at 10
Thanks so much for any suggestions:)

Sounds like she could ready for another meal :). Lunch or dinner? Start with a spoonful and see how she goes. Just watch her milk intake doesn't decrease yet.
