Hugs sher!  It is hard to balance both of their needs at the same time.  I has to be frustrating when they need/want different things at the same time.  You did have a successful day though, and as you piece it together, you will be able to string more of them together.  :-)

Maybe give the bed another week to see?  In the meantime watch for a deal on craigslist, so it won't be too spendy, and you could sell it for about the same amt you buy it?  Just a thought.  I love that ikea bed that we have for ds with the canopy.  Do you already have a twin mattress that could go into a twin bed or bunkbed?

No. This is a bed used with the crib mattress. So we don't have a twin mattress yet.
Hmmm.. You mean yesterday was successful?
Today sure isn't. It's a been a really bad day.

Lyle and I are just feeding off of each other, it's horrible. It's the worst day I've had in awhile. I feel like such a failure today. And to top it all off.... I asked for more help at work and they turned me down. So I had to write a nice long e-mail about that, when I'm already having a rough day. I hate it.

Oh well. *hugs* and I hope everybody had a good weekend.

I should say successful night.  Glad that it was fairly uneventful.  I wish you were having a better day.  Work sounds tough, too.  Tons of hugs for a bad day, today.

Are you still thinking the crib mattress/toddler bed is too small?  What about a mattress on the floor, so you just buy a twin and then pop it in to what ever you decide down the road?

We had an awesome night.
NO real NWings.
Cried out at 5:30, 6:30 and woke for the day at 7:30

We went to Church for the first time as a family today.
So he napped in the car from 2:00 PM until a little after 3:30. It was crazy he has never EVER slept like that in the car. Lyle and Chris got in and out of the car a few times and he still slept.

He was still tired acting so we did bedtime at the same time.
In bed 8. A squeak or two, but we didn't have to go in.

Asleep around 8:45pm.

That is really really good. We'll see what tomorrow brings.

Wel....
4:30 wake up this morning. I imagine it was teeth, but he would not go back to sleep. DH was able to keep in him the room until 6am.
He napped from 11:10-1:10 when DH woke him and Emory was very very tragic for a long time. Poor thing. He's been laying on the floor a good bit this afternoon, so not sure when we should try bedtime. I think DH said he wanted to try 7:30. I'm nervous for that, but we'll see.

i'd maybe try closer to 7/7.15pm BUT i would also do a dream med around 3.30am with nurofin (ibuprofen) and cross my fingers and toes that that gets him thru til past 6am.  :-*
