Pumping while DD is sick and missing growth spurts?
« on: March 07, 2012, 21:13:11 pm »
DD is 15 weeks, so we're coming up on the 16 week GS. She's in hospital sick , and nil by mouth, so I'm pumping.

Should I be pumping on a feed schedule, single side (like we used to feed)? Or just as and when I feel full and double pumping?

I think I'd probably be inclined to double pump and probably not further than about 3h apart so you're stimulating supply and getting the maximum you can (you can always freeze it).

Hope she's better soon :(

Hugs H xx I would be tempted to pump both sides if you can, given you want to keep your supply up as much as poss, and she's bound to be taking more from the breast than you get when pumping. That said, don't stress yourself out with it hun, keep yourself as relaxed for your babe as you can. Healthy vibes xxxx
