So many hugs lovely xxx

Would you consider doing some mixed feeding hun?  Just to take the pressure off.  Doesn't need to be forever.  Its just such a big responsibility on us mummies especially when there are issues.

Please don't think i'm not supportive of you continuing BFing, I am totally pro-BFing, but I am much more pro happy mummy and I think if i were in your shoes, now that solids are introduced I'd give a few formula bottles to give myself a break and take some pressure off.

Well...I've made no progress :P Good grief. I really am incapable of making decisions at all, it's a wonder anything ever gets done ::)

So yesterday I went and had my hair done ;D A whole hour of time by myself, uninterrupted! Ahh...bliss.!

DH ended up giving Emily a bottle of formula while I was gone ( he thinks anytime a baby cries, they must be hungry lol) I had just fed her right before we left. Anyways, she drank it and was the happiest I have seen her in a long time.  No idea if it was from the formula or what.

She hasn't had any since :-\ I have just kept nursing her.

Is it strange for a baby this age to only take 2-3oz of milk every 4 hours? Whenever I have seen a LC, that's all she's getting and it's about all she takes if she has a bottle :-\ Seems super low to me given that DS would take 9oz every 4 hours.

Jenn, Anna takes an average of 6oz every 4 hrs, but I am not sure if that is average or not. 2-3oz does seem low, but she is feeding so frequently at night that she just might be taking the majority of her calories then so doesn't need as much during the day. Ya know?

Does she take a lot of solids? Heavier ones like cereal, maybe? Try cutting back if you can because that does sound like too little unless, like Amy said, she's taking a lot at night to make up for it?

I've cut back her solids to completely BLW. She really isn't eating much solids now. She was before with purees :-\ If she takes a bottle of formula, she only takes 2-3oz and that's what she was taking of EBM inthe hospital when she was 4lbs :-\ And all the times I've been to the LC, it's always been the same. So with her weight dropping and me cutting her solids back, Im worried ::) Potentially for no reason but who knows.

I agree.  If she's only taking 4 oz at each feed, I would think she needs lots of feeds then.  Katie was on 5 feeds at that age and taking 7ish oz at each one.   Maybe her tummy is small?

I agree it could be shes taking small feeds as she's eating round the clock and she may well start to take more if you wean night feeds.

Would you maybe give a bottle at DF or at one of the night feeds to see if she maybe does a longer stretch although I am aware thats most often a myth!!

Shiv- I did do that and it worked brilliant for two nights but then stopped working :( More so then filling her up, I was thinking it would help her stomach if she is reacting to something I'm eating. But it was very short lived :( We are sort of just going still. Nothing different really. I weigh her tomorrow and har a phone consult with the paed and then we are heading on our trip so will be OOT for a bit. I hope she has gained weight and I can keep with BFing while we are on our trip as that's SO much easier

Maybe you can make that a mini-goal for yourself... BF until after your trip, then re-assess. You are right that BFing is soooo much easier than FFing!

Good idea Amy. That's a short goal. I can do that one!
