He had an ok night but he was so tired that he agreed to take a nap and when he was woken up at 1hr, he got super angry!!!!  He was so angry that he went to the toilet, sat on it with the underpants on and peed!!!!!!  He refused to take them off!!  Poor boy!

Since he napped, we decided to take him out to dinner with family.  He almost fell asleep when we were about 5mins from home and that was 8:30.  I kept him up by talking to him and he got a second wind!  He fell asleep at 9:30.  We never have much success transferring unless he has already slept a good hour or so.

Does it mean that with an hour nap, he could really manage 13h day?  He managed to stay dry all day incl car rides to and from the restaurant, except that incident when he was too angry!  He was also a star at the restaurant!

He stayed dry during the day, no nap but bt antics was the worst by far!  He went to all the places where he knew there were chocolates and just opened them and ate, didnt want dinner, wouldnt listen at all, wouldnt respond.  Tomorrow DH has to go to some conference around bt.  I am scared.  My heart is pounding so hard from being frustrated and hurt.  I dont know why, i am so stressed that i feel like i cant breathe, something is choking me in the chest.

(((((hugs))))) hun.  It is so hard. :(

How about a much shorter night with a nap then?  IDK if it's ideal but may work better for you :-\

I think he was super tired due to short night last night, only 10h when he really needs 11.5+ He was managing well until around 6.  Then things went down hill really fast.  I will plan a EBT tomorrow esp Dh wont be here otherwise.

We did shorter nights with nap for about 2-3 mo now, it was also stressful.  I think we just need to persevere.  He sttn last night just wondering if he needed to be so tired to sttn?  It doesnt seem to make sense, though.

The EBT is the key, I'm sure even now although we never manage it ::)

EBT would mean 6:30 in bed, not that early but it is early for us!  Daylight doesnt help at all.  :(

How was last night in the end?  If we compare our last two nights with you we win hands down for awful nights ::)  Sometimes I guess these kids are just not good sleepers....why oh why was that mine! ;)

Well, no NWs, so cant complain and he slept 8:00-6:30, so 10h30, so so grumpy this morning and wouldnt listen!  I know he was just tired, but so so hard.  I will have another course sat and sun, so wont see him much either :(. Wll provably need to do movie evening once or even twice!

Just that NWs seem to be at bay is already good plus he falls asleep within 15 mins unless it was second wind.

We have had a few STTN nights but he has a cold now, perhaps extra tired.  Need to redo the blackout curtains...  Sick of foil and i dont want his room to be a cave again.  Optimal A is around 11.5-12 but he could handle just a little longer if we keep very low key and no rushing, just be calm with him.  We have our evenings back unless we miss the window or too late a nap, etc.  all in all we are doing better!

Thanks, Laura for guiding us through this.  Hugs xx

Spoke too soon.  DS fell asleep in the car due to traffic jam!  At least he didnt have a meltdown when i woke him up as i prewarned him that he could sleep but when we got home, i would wake him.  It was quite peaceful but he is monkeying around and it is almost 8.  Really difficult.  My whole evening would be stressing about this.  Sigh..  Going back into him again.

These things can't be helped!  I remember the constant callbacks well.  Just be firm and keep talking to a minimum.

((((hugs))))
