That all sounds great, Kelly.  Good to get yourself connected and on their radar even before LO arrives.  Ask if they've got any Lansinoh samples.  They usually have some they can give out to antenatal ladies as well as post-natal ones :)

Going to those classes is a great idea- being as educated as possible is a great idea.

Oh- are you going to be out of the hospital in 6-8 hours? Making sure you have a LC to see as often as you can is a great idea.

Oh- and apparrenlty some babies (like hamish) don't want to eat much in the first 48 hours- hamish had a big feed to start with then NOTHING for a day or so- one midwife helped me express off 3ml of clostrum and he had that in a little cup (it was pretty funny- he didn't even wake up! She was this large gruff midwife, but was really great- she laughed and said he was a 'lazy monkey' or something!) It's totally normal apparently.. so don't panic!

This time round found Multi Mam compresses which have been wonderful for any nipple soreness.  Better than lansinoh was last time, for me anyway, very soothing.

It took me ages to find this post :)

I have had a rough time recently and wanted to share something that I am so happy and proud of.

I am still bf and DS2 will be 9mo on Saturday :) I have no intention of stopping either :)

Sorry for the self indulgent post - this makes me smile :)

Yay :) I am very happy! Reading back though this makes me understand why I have been successful - I really really wanted to bf. I persevered through the pain because I knew it would get better - thats thanks to everyone on here who helped me :)

This boy loves his boobies so he doesnt seem to want to stop anytime soon either ;D
