Thanks for words of support  :-*

Yesterday was sort of OK, but got steadily worse as day progresssed.  I foolishly let her sleep till 11am again, too long!! I couldn't read her sleep cues as she was yawning from right after feed until she fell asleep  ::) So I gave her 1hr again then went up, wind down took just 10mins until she was asleep but she woke up after 40mins still in my arms, full of smiles so I'm guessing she was UT from long morning nap and maybe not enough A time? So now i have a more standard query, how long A time would you think I should give her? or is her A time ok as she fell asleep easily with not too much fuss at all and it was just her being UT from having such a good nap  ???

One other thing, which isn't a nap thing, but I'm finding that if she has a feed after 9.30pm she wakes earlier in the night, whereas if she eats anywhere upto 9.30, last night it was 8.30 then she was awake until 9.30ish then she will go through till 5-6am in morning.  Any of you experienced this?

Was it about a 2hr nap?
I'd say her A time in general looks ok, but if that nap was 2hrs then maybe she needs another 10 mins after such a good nap?  This is where A times through the day can become a little different rather than all of them the same.

I seem to have a memory of someone saying their LO slept better if they weren't fed too late, but I'm sorry I have no idea what thread it was.  No experience with that myself.

All bets are off at present.  S's cold has turned into an awful cough, which is at it's worst while feeding, result is she has been throwing up huge quantities of feeds, so much so i have been giving her some cooled boiled water to keep her hydrated and am having to feed her little and very often.  Its really taking its toll and she is really tired falling asleep all over the place so any form of routine is completly gone!!  Hopefully it wont last too long, not sure what it will do to my supply if it does last too long as she isn't getting much more than foremilk most feeds.  But through it all she is still so happy, she is such a little trouper! she can puke all over herself and me, have it come out of her nose and still look up at me with the widest smile you ever saw!!

So sorry to hear she is poorly! :(

I don't know where abouts you are, in the UK there are breast feeding support groups, they would happily lend you a double electric express pump for this period of time (they come with a steripack of the actual tubes/cups which are never used again so it's all clean) and they are very quick to respond to a bfer in need.  Maybe there is something like this where you are to help keep up your supply?

i'm in UK, did actually try to ring breast feeding support that's in S little red health book but didn't get an answer.  My supply has actually gone the other way and i keep getting very full to say the least! S is now taking much more from each feed before breaking off in coughing fit and is mostly holding them down, so I'm hugely releived about that.  Her cough is still awful but is not as bad so thats good.

On the nap front she now settles easily for her naps and I have even started laying her down when she is just fallen asleep but still doing that close eyes open eyes bit and she is managing to finish off going to sleep on her own in hammock!!  We are only getting 45min naps but occasionally she really tries to get back to sleep, I think if it weren't for her cough then on these occasions she would manage to sleep longer.

Took S to docs today as cough started to get better then got worse again, turns out she has chest infection on left lung.  So she is now on antibiotics.  hoping she will start to feel better in few days when meds kick in.  Once cough is gone will work on extending her hammock naps.
